Description

This is The Caracol -- or The Observatory -- in Chichen Itza. It's made up of three superimposed structures, with the total height being 24.6 yards (22m 50). Recalling from my waning memory, I believe moon cycles were measured more accurately in this building thousands of years ago than we can do today with our advanced equipment. Again, taken with a quickly failing Sony digital, whose light sensor was going the way of the DoDo faster than I could take the photographs.
