Description

Today I lost my baby of 13 years, a wonderful bichon frise named Charlie. Always loving and cheerful, in spite of his many medical problems. I learned more from him than he ever learned from me. In Memory.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Animals are just like family members and bring us great joy, and when they leave us it can be just as painful as loosing other members. May God be with you and family during this time. Beautiful memorial here........hugs

Earlier this year we had to say goodbye to Brosie, our Rottweiler (the name is short for Ambrosia, her AKC registered name). She was so sweet and loving and her time with us was a blessing. She had been tired a few weeks before we felt the lump in her neck. The vet drew fluid from her lungs so that we could have one last weekend together. We held her and went to the park and then, when it was time to send her away, she was tired from the cancer and we held her as she went into the quiet dark. A few months later we brought Taz to live with us. He was a three-year-old Rottweiler whose owner had just passed away from cancer -- she had been diagnosed at Thanksgiving and was gone by New Year's. We sometimes call Taz "Our Cancer Dog," and he is more precious for it. But sometimes, just sometimes, I look at him and see the void that Brosia left in our lives, and I remember the dark night... and I miss her again. But Taz is here now and he needed us. I'm glad we saved him from being unwanted and unloved. And, I guess, that's what we're here for when we enter the lives of "our" pets. We're here to fill their lives with love, knowing that it will be returned a thousandfold with an unselfish adoration that can only be found elsewhere in the glowing eyes of a child. So, I hope right now, you remember the glow in Charlie's eyes, just as I remember the glow in my sweetie's eyes. Remember that glow and place it in your heart, and in time the memory will grow more sweet than bitter. [A warm hug from me and my wife]

I have a bichon x. I know how loving they are. I feel for you. not easy. Some say, it's just a dog, but that dog becomes such a part of your family. Take care.

A beautiful farewell for your baby. I have lost my cats 5 years ago - but they are still with me. That is a great comfort.

I had to give my doggie up... I had to give her away, she drug my mom down the porch steps and shattered my moms knee. My dog's name was Charlie too. So, I understand that you miss your dog, because I still miss my dog. I miss her presents at the foot of my bed, I miss walking her around. I miss her greeting me when I come home from school. I miss playing with her around back. I miss her barking when someone is at the door. Mom gave her away to a nice family. I've never met them, so to me it's like giving my dog away to faceless strangers, and I just hope they take good care of her. She's a wonderful dog, just like I'm sure your charlie was. I think this is a beautiful dedication.
