Description

I had to do all kinds of adjusting on this one! The sky was hazy and everything looked washed out. What a difference, huh?!!! I love PS!!! This is Twin Lakes in the Mammoth Lakes area. You can see why my husband and I wanted to get married here. There is a lodge on the right side, called Tamarack Lodge, that was built in 1920. Very rustic, but with upto date and remodled cabins. You cannot see it in this photo, but there are two bridges. The one that is hidden goes over the lake to an outdoor chapel. No motors allowed on this lake (actually only one lake allows motors on it, in an area of five lakes that you can drive to) and they rent canoes. This shot was taken at the top of a waterfall (cascade) that flows into this lake. If you take a look at Natures Fireworks, in my gallery, that is a view from the outlet looking toward that fall and Crystal Crag in the background. Hope you enjoy and thank you for all the wonderful comments on my previous posts! Have a great weekend! Kim

What a gorgeous compo and yes, I can see why it would be awsome to be married there. Sigh. I really love your recent nature shots. There is some weird stuff going on with the blacks on the right hand side but I still love this image!
