Young Wife and Mother
My Daughter's last day of work before her much need Vacation with her 2 children and husband.
They ask her at work if she would cancel her vacation. She of course said no.
This is a State Government Job and this division is always preaching how they believe in Family Values.
I think they better walk the talk. She was so upset she called her Dad. Then that really Pissed me off. To put this on a person just before they leave.

Very sad indeed, and I hope too that your daughter doesn't let this thoughtlessness on the part of her employer ruin her vacation. She earned it and deserves it to be all that she hoped it would be. Lovely image and her expression says it all. :)

I spent 11 years working 12 to 16 hour days, always giving up my weekends and vacations to do as my company needed of me. I worked every special event, I worked when I was sick, and I never complained about it. At least until they layed me off.

And you expected something less? That's the way employer's are. Employer's care absolutely nothing about the worker. I really feel bad for her. She's so young and the lessons of life are hard. She's older today, just look at her face. :(( You've captured the expression perfectly. I know. Frame this for her, please. It is a milestone in her life.
