Description

In a previous post "Unsolved Mysteries" , I noticed a dual metal peg in that post similiar to this peg that holds this long pipe (top photo). Seems like the pole was anchored upwards and used to hold up a long wire antenna. Looking from the other end of this pole (bottom picture), there is another pole (unseen) at the other end of this crater. My Opinion.............What's Yours? Aloha and thank you for viewing

Just one of those things you would only find out by whoever put it there. Like that top one. Almost as if that is smoke coming out from pipe.

At a guess and taken with the previous bits and pieces, the radio aerial idea would seem about right. To transmit physical or chemical seismic data from instruments on the volcano to a remote recording or laboratory site. Check with your local university. georgeclarke

Can't imagine why anyone would build a large wire antenna close to the ground in this location, since the only use of it (afaik) would be to pick up ... radio! (And I mean earth based radio transmissions - radio telescopes are used for astronomy). Could there possibly have been a larger structure there, which was anchored at these points? Strange... Nice photos!
