Description

Well, just another of my forest visions :) One ecosystem, some imported trees, others are Vue made. Some corrections etc. made with Photoshop. Rendertime 2 hrs. 14 min in "Ultra", two lights, global ambience. Thanks for your comments on my latest works, comments on this one also very much appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

Hey it looks so cool, amazing how you did the waterfall in Vue especially the splash. Nice volumetric lighting. The only thing I see is can you make the volumetric lighting more smooth (by increasing the quality in volumetric settings)? Still I give you an excellent one of the best Vue I have seen!

Really nice forest scene. Love the lighting through the trees and the mysterious shade in the woodland depths. One thing worries me though. To my eyes the line of the water approaching the falls doesn't look quite horizontal and therefore there's something weird going on here with gravity!

Thanks for your comments so far. I agree with "kindreds" on the volumetric light settings, they are a bit too grainy. Next time I use volumetrics I'll pay closer attention to that part. But I don't agree with DMFW about the water and the horizantal issue - to my eye, and through the terrain work involved, it is intended to depict "turbulence due to underwater bumps" - now, a turbulent stream isn't exactly "level", is it? Thanks again.

I rather like the graininess of the light, Lars; it reminds me of the thick, dusty, misty light you can see in deep forests. An excellent landscape, you have a real touch with them, always look forward to seeing your work. Simply superb!
