Description

The other day as I was sitting on the porch at my daughter's house I was reminded again how simple things can bring us joy. My 12 year old grandson, Ian, was outside with me. This little man is a X-Box, Playstation 2 warrior! He is into the game thing in a major way! As we were sitting talking, a tiny blue butterfly chanced to land close to him. He walked over to it, held out his hand and it graced him by landing on his fingers! Thereafter followed probably 15 minutes of him playing chase with the butterfly, trying to get it to land on him again, which it did, several more times before it flew away. His smile was so joyful. It touched my heart deeply. The moral of this story is this: Remember the joys of childhood, don't get so caught up in the rat race. Chase a butterfly! Leanndra

An exquisite flame and a beautiful story. I agree with that so much. People seem to be just too busy to stop 'and smell the roses' or even to watch a child get delight from a butterfly. Thank you for reminding us, my friend. Hugs :)
