Description

These two guys have retro-fitted their Waverunner for big game fishing. While I was out shooting some surfers they came by me on the way out. About an hour later of trolling they came in with their catch. In Hawaii this fish is called "Ono" (The Hawaiian word for "Delicious"). I believe in the Mainland it's called "Wahoo". This is such a dangerous fish to catch on a regular boat because of the rows of razor sharp teeth it has. How these guys were able to catch and land this fish with a Waverunner is beyond me. But here is the proof! I estimated this fish to be 30-40 lbs. Thanks for your continuing comments on my many posts as they are inspiring...Have a great week everyone~

Most excellent capture of this event! These guys are really thinking with combining sport with fishing! Wahoo (Ono) is my all time favorite fish!! They are great fish steaks especailly on the grill as the texture isn't flaky at all! That fish is probably worth over $200 in fillets alone here in the mainland! Most excellent image!!

That guy driving teaches scuba diving and has a white pickup truck. I had talked to him before. A very brave fisherman they are. Excellent capture. Aloha

First I have to say that for some reason the first shot brought to mind the theme song from the old "Hawaii 5-0" show! These guys look tough enough to tackle that sharp-mouthed ono :)
