Description

As long as Joleen is fresh in everyone's minds, I'm uploading two images she took this past weekend. She joined me at the lakefront to view the Festa Italiana fireworks. I had my 35mm Minolta and the digital Sanyo and tripods for both. Joleen was probably surprised when I told her the digicam was for her to use, but she set about figuing out how to set the tripod and the camera, swapping in new batteries, and complaining about the broken battery hatch. Despite the fact I kinda forgot to give her much of an explanation how to operate the camera, she ended up with some nice pics. She even has the aesthetic sense to see the weakness in the position I'd chosen and went off in search of a better vantage point. So without further ado---

kudos to Joleen, very nicely seen (perhaps to use tripod and selftimer...)
