Description

On the weekends we go on photo shoots, exploring the beauty of Colorado, which is always an adventure, and always inspiring. This is a trout lake located in Winter Park, a combo ski and summer resort area. In the distance you can see the ski runs on the mountain which are now covered in green. We will be going back another day to fish, but we did catch some great shots and imagined this lake with lots of action, so we turned it into a naturescape. Photo brought into Poser 5 where we added the critters, lighting with SpeedLITES, then postwork in Photoshop CS. Credits: Buck and Eagle 2 from Daz Trout freebie from Toucan.com Thanks for looking and for your comments. Carol & LJ

I just love your state for the very reason of these photos. Have you seen any real eagles. When I was in the state years ago, we saw eagle nests but no eagles. Beautiful, ~V~

Yes 1010 we have seen several eagles but no eagles nests. They are few and far between to be sure, but we see one flying at least every couple of weeks. They are huge, with wingspans between 6 and 7 feet and we understand the females can weigh up to 14 lbs and can carry off a 4 pound fish. They are still protected and it's a felony to possess even an eagle feather ... unless you're a native American indian. lj
