Description

The desert of great Arizona, burns like the fires of hell, Not a blade of grass will be standing, in forest, or mountain, or dell. Even the sky is on fire, whilst inferno scours the land, And creatures all mighty and tiny, burrow deeply under the sand. Thank you all so very much for all your wonderful comments and I wish to thank you for taking your time to view my artistic scribblings. Your comments and suggestions are not only deeply appreciated but valued highly.

I spent the first 35 years of my life in Arizona. I remember the intensity of the summer sun so well. The year I left, Phoenix hit 122 degrees, and they closed Sky Harbor International due to heat! Oddly, though, there was mucn more wildlife in the high desert areas of Arizona than there is in the forest area of Oregon where I now live. Isn't that amazing!

I'm not so crazy about hot weather myself, although I'm one of those people who're always cold :D Well chosen title for this image, really radiates heat :)

My gosh....the color in this piece simply steals your breath! I feel if I looked up "inferno" in the dictionary, I'd find this amazing sky as an example. Beautifully realized concept! Excellent.

That is some HOT postwork! I know the heat you speak of. Fortunately, we have wet heat here in Florida. I'll think of this the next time I bit into a chili pepper Paul. :)
