Description
One of a series of 3 photos taken with Canon G6 using super-macro lens while hiking near Portland, Oregon. I had no tripod, it was a breezy day and it was the first time I've tried macro stuff. So I'm encouraged by the results.

Without tripod it's not easy to shoot macro's like these under these light-conditions! Beautiful shot!

Lovely contrast between the soft foreground light & the spikey texture set against the strong back light, makes a very nice composition.
