great work bud. have a couple of suggestions - play around with the length, bend/twist, etc for the left stirrup in the charger tack to get it to fit perfectly over her boot - right now its just dangling there. as for the background - it looks like you loaded it as a background in poser. you should avoid that since poser backgrounds pixellate and distort. just render the image on a black background, save as a .TIFF file, then import into photoshop. go to select > load selection, and load the alpha channel. you can then cut and paste the rendered character onto whatever background you choose, and even have it as a separate layer. this way you can manipulate both the background and characters to blend better. personally, i would use some transparent/black linear gradients to darken the bottom of the background a bit and make it look a little more realistic. as for the horses muzzle, it looks too rubbery and smooth - use the 'smudge' tool and a small brush in photoshop to smudge some of the black onto the white and some of the white onto the black - do it in small enough fuzzy streaks and you get the illusion of fur (check my heliotrope image). remember, subtle touches go a long way. ------- wow, thats a lot of typing :) i dont mean to nitpick man, but you keep asking me about postwork - and this is what you need to do to make an otherwise great image into a perfect one :)
