Description
We've lived in our current house for 1 1/2 years, and there are all sorts of weeds/wildflowers in the yard that I'd never seen before! Jen thinks this is a thistle. She says she saw a lot of them in Scotland last summer.
Thanks again for your sweet messages of condolence regarding Sparky. We're planting a flower garden in the backyard over his gravesite, so I'll post some pictures of that in the future.
We're off to the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, Colorado, this weekend. I need to get back to making my husband's "musketeer" costume. I hope to have some interesting photos to post next week :)

i think they are thistles.. and some turn purple as they mature. nice closeup! Have fun at the Renfest and share those pictures!
