Great concept. Don't know if its the compression or what but the jaggedness of the metalwork kinda detracts. The contrast of a sharp rendered metal would go nicely with the softness in the rest of the image. The center piece rocks.

No, it's not the compression, you're right, it doesn't fit with the clarity of the rest of the image. It's a terrain object made from a scan of a drawing I was working on at work one day during a particularly boring meeting. Perhaps more will follow...

Transcending! I always see images as animations and this one has a lot of possibilities. A figure rising from the flame, a sword,. . . swirling the fire fades, flashes and a face appears . . .what is it's purpose, a torch, a portal, a communication device? It has a nice beginning! Elrond
