Description

I shot this photo around mid-afternoon, with a simple Nikon N-65 SLR with T-Max 400 speed black & white film. I developed my own negatives and enlarged the photo, then used photoshop to resize the image. I was just bored one day and experimented with different lightings and textures. LOL, I found my inspiration in the bottom of a jar of Welches grape jelly. Thanks for your time I'll be posting more pics soon.

i havta say, out of all the talented pictures I have seen through your artwork, this is without a doubt my favorite one so far. It's dark/thought provoking, in the way the darkness (wonderfully symbolized by the grape jelly)encircles the lighter parts of the jar trying to wash it away. At the same time it's also enlightening, in the way that despite being almost completely trapped by the darkness...the remaining light shines through and reflects off the jelly, making itself glow brighter. I love it. good job!
