Description
If you want to see the original Mrs Abington (and, take it from me, you do), she's at the Tate, London, UK, until the 18th of September, if the righthand side of the Atlantic is more convenient, or, the rest of the time, she is in New Haven, Ct., USA.
I have only tried here to copy the pose of the original. If I can get closer to her expression, I shall, but the beauty of the original is that her expression is very subtle. I haven't attempted to morph V3 into the original, either, although I'll probably have a stab at that, too.

Lovely portrait... Wish I could see the original...

None of the reproductions of the painting on the web is especially satisfying, but this one is about the best I can find: http://www.archimagazine.com/breynolds.htm Second picture down - text is in Italian, though.
