Strange fungus (?) growing on a prickly pear cactus. PSP for sharpening, etc. Taken with Nikon Coolpix 7900. Thanks for looking. Maria

So I am eating a bagel with cream cheese when I click on this....yikes! Kind of made me gag when I read the F word, lol. Very interesting though. Great colours.

Excellent photography, really sharp and most unusual, but seriously, if that's a cactus you are keeping, it needs separating out from any others immediately, as this looks like one of those things caused by some little but that spreads to everything else. (I think I can see the little bugs in the picture??)
