For a weed, this plant certainly has a beautiful name. I like the touch on the very bottom of the background being torn out. The aged paper with a few stains is perfect and the tone helps set of the plant. The way it too has been laid with car and a graceful curve is nice. A suggestion from a still-life table photographer is a little trick. We use putty, but you can also use small, and I mean very small pieces of wood chips, pebble or anything that can raise and help angle the flower so not all of them are laying flat and we then might be able to see inside of one.

A beautiful composition. Looks like a print from a botony book. We call these 'bind weed' and it is just about impossible to control them in grain fields.
