Description

It's early spring on Hoths world. Some of the local forna have taken to our gene modified insects, this wasn't expected so soon. Anyway, it is a beautiful location. "Wide Desert" is near by the northern ocean. In spring mists make it possible for a little plant life to survive in the shadow of the past. So far only this site has shown any signs of civilisation. It's believed to have been approximatly 120,000 years since these statues had been set in place. They stand mute, but speak vollumes. The matterial they are made of maybe some form of ceramic, it has thus far not even been scratched by the hardest diamond compasites tools. But sitting here all I can do is listen as insects buzz, dragons flight, and wind wispers. I know they're gone, I know I'm alone here, yet still I feel their eyes on me. Hey guys and galls. This site is located 10 deg. north of the equator, east of the Pennia coast. I'm looking north. You can't see the moon yet, it won't rise for another 3 hours. This time of the year if you're real lucky, you might spot a "Star rose". It looks nothing like a rose, but the sent is very simillar. I'm here on a retreat. Hopefully in 3 months I'll be back at "Rothchilds", I just have to prove I can stand the sillence. It's ok really, I'm catching up with my studies and getting bored out of my brain. Any how, say hi to Kathy and tell her I miss her. Time for me to start the treck back to base camp now. Only a little longer and I'll be a lieutenant, second class. Till next week, all my thoughts and with hopes are with you guys. John Daus. The Millinium Dragons are from DAZ, as is the Dragon flies. The heads are modified poser figure, using Blender 3D 2.37a. The mat on the little spikes are from Watchful Eye. Starting on the Hoth series for a change of pace. Live your dreams, but dream big...;)

I thought Hoth was an Ice Moon (Star Wars..;) hey, maybe it is..;) great work, and it must have taken a LOT to do all those 'wee stones' on the surface..;)

Excellent work and awesome image! Hoth is an incredible planet, and all those heads make you wonder about the ancient civilisation that occupied it (they do speak volumes)! Great storytelling and I like the human touch with John Daus' journal :)
