Description

This is a photograph of a painting I did back in 1990. It is an acrylic painting done on two pieces of quarter inch thick, 12 inch square, pieces of Masonite glued on a slab of half inch thick plywood. You can see the seam separating the two squares. This is a real seam not a cheap digital seam that so easy to produce these days. The image is 1 X 2 foot. A surreal time of paintings when I would just paint and see what popped out of my unconscious. How many hidden images can you find buried beneath the surface? Can you see the yellow school bus carry a load of tomatoes? I still can't and probably never will.

This has an Ernst quality. As you have said in your statment, "I would just paint and see what popped out of my unconscious."

ok so I see two blue faces lying on their backs...one with their tounge out. And a very skinny naked woman leaning over your name!!! 1990 eh? Definate proof you have been this way for a long time. By the by the bus is obvious.

I'm also the same as oldfenster. I found two blue profiles & one red naked woman. Interesting surreal image. Very well composed!!
