Thanks Curio, I did this in Painter classic, mostly single pixel pen - obsessive or what :-),finished off with the watercolour brushes. I'm just getting to grips with Painter 7 so might get a bit more adventurous...

Sorry for taking so long to comment Bev - but as they say - 'better late than never at all'. I decided to backtrack to the beginning of your uploads and am pleased I did, or I would not have seen this most excellent digital render. I must confess, I'm not sure I understand what a 'single pixel pen' is - or who makes such a thing. Nevertheless, I would rate this meticulous creation as an 'Excellent', and walk away...er...surf away feeling like it just wasn't a sufficiently high enough rating. I must reiterate Agny's comment in that digital is its very own natural element, and in my humble opinion, a far more difficult medium to work in than 2D paint and canvas. I for one, could NEVER get the hang of painter, (not the brightest light bulb on the shelf of life...lol) and so I work with PSP7. You have rendered one of the most realistic looking images I have ever seen - done in this media, and I cannot begin to offer sufficient praise. This is positively breath-taking Bev - and true 'eye-candy' for the senses.

I feel like I have struck gold tonight- first lumo, and now you! (saw your work on lumo's faves) This is breathtaking - I am running out of adjectives - I have only just begun in Painter (8) and - I hope that some day I can crank it out like you. You inspire me, and I need it! (I have also found that less pixels and more transparency with brushes = more control). I can't wait until I have time to take a longer stroll through your wonderful gallery!!! Heron's word: Divine!
