kloster eberbach - different sights by cbender

another picture taken last sunday in kloster eberbach - an unusual view here - they have a kind of outdoor exhibition there with great stone monuments... that inspired me for a less usual shot... :) hope you enjoy a bit... location: kloster eberbach, rheingau, germany this monastery is quite well known as quite a lot of the film "name of the rose" was shoot there (indoor parts) framing: quite un-experimental... ;) --- next posting: hibiscus syriacus previous posting: modified colours thanks for stopping by and watching :) and of course - critics, thoughts, whatever are welcome - the more useful the better... ;) so don't hesitate to point out things which could be done better... thank you! -christian picture taken with canon 300D, sigma DG 17-35mm postwork/framing in Xara X1/PSP9

Magnificent composition! A rather unusual combination of modern abstract construction with the older traditional forms - wonderfully blending of the two! Well done indeed!

Oh! Christian, this is a fabulous shot. I agree with Nina, about the new & old combination. Your "presentation" is great. I love the way you carried the stones off the picture with the very light shade of grey. Just the right shade in fact. You are so great at presentation! V

Most interesting composition and view. The combination of graphic elements and phototrgaphy are slowly being refined as you develop your own artistic identity here.

Definately an unusual point of view.I like the texture of the stones in the forefront but I'm not sure if I would have preferred to see more of them since that seems to be the point here.Any way I think its wonderful that you are experimenting always and I really enjoy your work.-M :)

Splendid POV! Bright and beautiful summerday atmosphere - lovely indeed. I think though it could be even more impressive if the building wasn't that sharp... But really wonderful shot and framework. :-)
