Description

An explaination....I own several 3d rendering programs and I was really ticked off at bryce and ready to retire it and use 3D Studio Max exclusively. They have some really nice global illumination plugins for it and I love the effect. Then I started thinking....hmmm maybe I could simulate the effect. The resulting image is what happened. I'm still working out the bugs in the arrays but hey I think it looks good. This is Bryce 5 set to a normal render..(not fine or superfine) and NO postwork. Leave a comment and let me know what you think...Thanks. KAP

THis looks more like a photo of a solid model than a rendering. THe photorealistic power of the so-called "lower priced" packages is becoming phenominal, especially in the hands of a true artist. I look forward to seeing the results when you work the bugs out even further. mike

Well, Tomy.....if you disagree...then what, pray tell, would you suggest to improve the image? I checked your gallery, thinking I was maybe missing something. Maybe this guy has found a better way. Alas, no gallery. Except a screen shot from a note by DAZ, where your butt was chewed for flaming other people's work...LOL. So render and post something, realistic or not, or your opinion will never mean much to those of us who actually do.

this is quite photorealistic. the only parts that aren't are maybe the base of the statue and the the head of the statue...i think this is just the model itself though. that top left corner of the floor is amazing!

Great render! Did you model the statue in 3D Studio Max? She's beautifully done and looks fabulous in the lighting you set up here.
