I finally read the threads in the forum about the hot 20(newest) and I am not surprised from some of the lame comments. the majority was upstanding and made perfect sense. some was very demeaning to Renderosity artists and thought the majority of art is worthless that is posted. they are entitled to their opinion but also I have the right to disagree. there are so many world class artists here and I feel humbled that people has a high regard for mine although I do not consider myself in the same standing. for lack of words to describe how I feel about people's posts here I have often put that I voted out of respect. from this day on I will refrain from that practice because it should be a secret thing.

Being new to Poser and graphic art... I find this sad. I'm glad that I didn't read that forum and that I don't even know where it is. I always thought art was subjective--there are things I like that others don't and there are things they like that I don't. It reminds me of reading books. Anyway, it's such a shame some can't incoruage new people and give helpful advice. It would be engery well spent instead of writing in a forum their complaints. Wonderful and beautiful fractal. I love these. They're always so delicate and expressive. I think they are like cloud gazing... I can see different things in them. :-) Take care, Maria

1st, let me say: WOW! Awesome fractal creation Richard! 2nd, I'm saddened that your natural feelings and flow have been altered by a few disgruntled individuals. People that complain, have nothing to offer, and negative feedback aids no one. I ignore it, and save my energy for creating! Hugs, Dennis

Yes, it's pretty weird those reactions about the vote and hot20! Cannot understand people not to respect other artists. I also feel there is much jealousy in the galleries that makes me sad. Like you I vote out of respect for an artist or for this special artwork but I also vote for newcomers when they have posted a great work comparing to their usual to give them support and encouragement to get further in their progress. Have often pondered about showing or not showing the v and have also dicussed about that with Gerhard several times as he also feel bad about those reactions. Maybe you're right about voting in secret and probably I will follow you. But me thinks that is a pity for those newbies! Don't let you get down, my friend!!! Dennis Reed said it well! I'm afraid that hot 20 topic will always be a hot subject and won't go away. They should just get rid of it. Now I will state to some art that I am voting and that won't change for me. I choose to VOTE for this outstanding fractal, it is sheer beauty!!!

Very beautiful fractal..it has an airish look with golden illuminations...great beauty! As for your words..I dont read the forums much, but I do know some artists really get mad and jealous when they dont make the top 20...something I have never really thought about..I just have fun creating! Please dont let it get you down Richard..there will always be negativity where ever you go..you just have to ignore it and stay positive...or it will destroy you! :) Very excellent image!! A golden peacock!!! That is what I see here!!! About the top 20, at first I not really think about because I know there are at least 20 better than me, and I can't change the waz people are. I don't give my vote when I don't feel from the bottom of my heart that is for me one of the top. However I'm may be a little bit different. I don't go in chat rooms, I don't visite the forum, I don't post to become famous, I just love art and I love to see wonderful images and to make some(hopeful also wonderful, LOL)!! I go more for how manz people looked at mz image than the vote!!! But your fractal is oustanding good and for me worth a V!!!

Everyone above have pretty much expressed my feelings about voting & H20 but I guess I'm kinda obstinate - so I say V when I feel like it and sometimes I vote and don't tell the artist in my comments :-) - for me, it's all about my feelings and supporting fellow artists - as far as the grumblers go - it's like me pappy always said - "It's like the buzzing of a slow flying mosquito, annoying, but not terribly significant." don't let them get you down! As for your artwork, you know I like it greatly and I always have and undoubtedly will continue... so, I bloody well VOTE because it's superb! It's one of the few 'tools' I have here to express my feelings!

Excellent work my friend, the forms have a great movement....!!! I like the form a lot in that melts the color..!!! V I believe that the vote is something that each one places for that we feel that a work deserves it, for the realization and quality of the same one, I personally consider that its work is very good, then I don't understand the one for that it is criticized in the forums. Don't pay attention you of that type of critical and continue creating their art.

I have not read this and personally I vote for a number of reasons. Not just because it is totally amazing sometimes you can tell how hard a person has tried. Or if it's something brand new to them and it really does look good for a first try,I might vote for encouragement on someones first hair painting. Believe me there are people out there that think GoldilocksUK votes to much and comments to much. That's my choice and we were given the freedom of choice. I would like to read it if you could tell me how to get there Richard and I love this creation and here's a big fat VVVVVVVV for you xoxoxooxox Cathy

Thanks for this great expressive and subtle image and thanks for your words which embrace what many of us think. There's not only disrespect in the forums, which BTW I seldom read and in the schmoozing Hot 20's system. There's jealousy and vanity, unfair bashings and a particular "artistic" species who seem to use this site as a screen to conceal darker purposes. As a relative newbie, is this what we want to show to the great number of fine new artists that join the site almost daily?. Agree with your words and there's a specific point I think is worth following. Although never putting a "V" just to please somebody, I'll refrain from now on to make it public and will keep it secret, just about the same way when you include an artist or an image in your fav's list. After not posting since April 11th, plans are to return soon, and this isn't over, for I have things to say.

Unfortunately I don't have time to view all the wonderful work posted here on a daily basis, let alone comment. So I pick as many as I can, and hope that in some small way it provides a bit of encouragement. It certainly makes me feel good to read and feel the warmth in the comments left at my work. As for this post, Richard, beautiful form, color, and art (as always)!
