I am a 30-year old American woman, married to a Portugese man, and we live happily together in Brussels, Belgium. My husband bought me my Canon IXUS 530 for Christmas three years ago, and thus a new hobby was born. Since then, I have also used a Fujifilm S9000, and received my first DSLR camera, a Canon EOS 40D for my 30th birthday.
I have a BA in World Religions and East Asian Studies. My other interests include crochet, role-playing, cats, language studies, poetry, cooking, collecting prayer beads, and so much more. I have found the Renderosity community to be a delightfully warm and helpful group of people. With your continued support, I am learning more every day. Ive seen the last one too - and I have to say it hat more style... Even if its too much light in the last one - it has the fairy-tale-look, yes. This one here is just a bit bland imho... But I like the idea, not that bad for your first steps in postworking... And by the way... your hands seem to be extraordinary beautiful... :-)

This is very pleasing portrait to view, the lighting is excellent and she glows with the feeling of calmness not a dark mood, wonderful work:):):):):)

when it comes of portraits, my preference is for B/W, too - the higher contrast that is found in tones of gray is far more beautiful than what you can find in the color version; the color version has its own perfume and only you can decide whether you post or print a photo in B/W or color! your portrait is very well executed! all my appreciations! ~mihai~
