It's got an interesting aura of suspense, even potential terror to it.

I really have mix feelings about this post. Firstly, I find it technically an excellent photo which has been nicely post worked in a photoware. What disturbs me somehow is...the crop maybe... or the composition you can say. If you have taken a part of the body too into the frame it would have been better.... or.... Croped it closer than the chin area , instead of teh whole face. The reason why I am disturbed at this point of time is because someone showed me a snuff video of a kidnapped victim by some militant group. It has really left a shaking impression on my mind and when I find this image with only the face up the neck....it gives me creeps. It has nothing to do with your presentation ....maybe.... I am sorry. I really love the sharp features of this lady.:O))

The "grain"....marvelous here; flattened by terrible emotion (or death), our lady IS at rope's end......fabulous piece of work.

I find the comp and use of b&w very good - strong image. Often i find the overall use of a grain or texture to be to easy, that selective application from foreground to background say, to be stronger. But this does seem to work well...Great image.
