Description

Thanks for viewing !! :o) - Two Common Blues (Polyommatus icarus) having a bit of fun... although it somehow looks painful LOL ;o) I did some postwork on this one (right) and i quite liked how it turned out. I know it looks kinda cartoony but thats actually the point ;o) Please give me some feedback on this. Oh btw. the male is 'on top' today ;o) Have a fabulous thursday !! :o) - Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my last upload, "Catching The Last Rays" !! -- Many thanks, Jeroen

As usual excellent work! I think the PW image brings out more detail and color. The darkened background makes the buttys stand out more, and softens the whole image for me...Well done! Aloha~

a fantastic shot :) no question... i like the "cartoony" one too - well done - it's bright and looks a bit like painted... brings out the colours! have you tried to layer both...?!? to keep the details and add the colours... ?!?

Yep, the postworked one is far better (for me). Stronger colours and a warmer light plus the darker background that makes the butties stronger. Great capture ... as usual ;-)

Great...just great. Another potential upload of mine has just been cancelled due to the fact that Jeroen beat me to it...and not only that...but mine would look sooooooooooo pathetic next to this one. Stunning capture once again. Youre the king indeed!!! Have a great day #:O)

Ciao Jeroen ! I can't tell you wich one I prefered... The second one is more colorated, and more "finished" after your postwork, but the texture of the winds is better on your original... I take the two !!!! Are you shure that it's the the male who's on the top ???? I'm not shure... The female is so sexy... look hat his eyes ;-)))) Have a good day !

I prefer the left as a "macro image" and the right as an "illustration of the buttys" ..so two different presentations of the same event!

I like them both for completely contradictory reasons: the first one for it's sharpness, the second one for it's softness! I know, I know...! O_o

I prefer the one on the right because I like the painterly feel of it. I'm just wondering if you ever ask permission of these poor unsuspecting bugs?

I personally never found 'back to back' all that attractive as a position ;-))

They are both great images, and what a great capture, but you achieved a really cool effect with with pw image, and heightened and enhanced the colorful details. But then, all your macros are excellent straight out of the camera, and don't even need any pw.
