Slip & Dip have been looking for the "Boys" but lost track of them a few months back. They found their selves in this empty grass land canyon. The river runs along the bottom of the canyon. Slip was going to race Dip to the river when Dip pointed out the rabbit and Eagle. The Rabbit was heading for the river when the Eagle spotted him. Young eaglets to feed. The eagle swooped in for the kill, glad he would not have to sit on a rock or branch all day waiting. Mr Eagle has sharp eyes. He can see better at 5,000 ft than we can at 20 yards. The Rabbit is quick with good senses, but today the Eagle has the mist to help cover his approach. The dampness dulls the rabbits senses, he can't feel the air from the Eagles wings. The kill is quick, Mr eagle heads home, the young rabbits will have to fend for them selves. Slip and Dip head for the river, ever watchful for another Eagle or Hawk. Then there is always the Coyote, toss in a fox and a snake once in a while and life can be interesting.
