Description
An Illustration done for The Local a weekly publication on the Sunshine Coast (a small district outside of Vancouver BC Canada). This is the largest event on the Sunshine Coast and I was commissioned to create an illustration for the front page of a special supplement. I also happen to be the production manager of this publication (I guess I had an in). After tossing ideas around with the publisher we came to the conclusion that using stock photos from previous years events wouldn't produce the impact we would like. So I suggested that I could create an illustration. I think it worked nicely.

Great promo. Very effective. My only suggestion would be to put the days of the week in a different color so they stand out from the rest of the text--maybe red or white, or burgundy like the back of the car.
