Description

Thank you for your kind words on yesterdays image, "Ollie". Shame on me for calling it 'boring'. You helped me realize just how nice that portrait of Ollie really is!x Well, here it is. Finally a butterfly! Once again, I'm not 100% satisfied (blurry head)..., but do you know how long it took me to get this? This fella was fluttering around a RIVER for about an hour; and with me behind him all over the place with my Nikon, I must have looked like a total idiot. LOL (But, in all honesty .. do we really care? haha) I tried many crops, and decided on this one. (Shot in RAW) I hope you all have a great weekend.. have fun, and be safe. ShariLyn

I like it. the contrastof the butterflycolors against the green (and the light) is what makes it for me. The sharpness isn't critical for this shot. Stand back a foot or two and you'll see what i mean.

Im most impressed with your persistance Shari, i would have given up after 20 minutes...thats usually how long i give them and if they dont freezy by then i just move onto the next "project"...which is usually Eija, LOL. Never shot anything in RAW yet, will have to try that out someday. Beautiful work!!! Have a great friday #:O)

I know.. taking pictures of butterflies is difficult. They always seem to move just at the moment you want to take your picture, not to mention the wings that are always closed just when you hoped they would open up... so.. considering all the hardships you had to suffer, this a very reasonable.. no .. this is a very good picture.. !!
