Description

This one is part of a serie that I've had in my folder for about 3 to 4 months!! The serie is called "The People of London" and is made of candid shots that I took of people passing by. This one is my fav of the serie. Not sure if it has a great interest though so I don't think that I will post the rest of it. Anyway, enough blablating... Thx for ur time guys! :)

isolating her by colour creates a kind of (slow) motion... nicely done...

LOVE THIS TOO!!! Such a perfect title for this one Pascale. Talk about being out of place...i mean shes the only one in colour!!! WOW!!! Everyone must think she looks soooooo odd #:oP Seriously though, it is PERFECT. Impressive work on the selective colouring and the shot is also very high-quality in itself. Great job dear!!!! Have a wonderful weekend #:O)

I think it is just awsome. As the only color, she stands out, yet there is something about her posture that is worldworn and weary, and something that implies that she is passed by and not seen by most. Very interesting twist...I like it a lot!

Sadness is what I feel. There are many interpretations to this image. Isolating her and having her in colour emphasizes the loneliness. It is a strong picture and the photographic illustration technique is well applied here. I look forward to the rest of the series. have a great weekend Pascale.

A very interesting shot Pascale ! But who is out of place ???? I don't think the one that we think... Excellent idea this series, and with so much contrast. Have a nice week-end.

Incredible. This image has a real sense of Humanity to it. I love how the coloration makes the woman just jump right out of the image.

People watching is rarely dull and photographs fall into the same category because they give an insight into a moment of time. Nice use of selective colour and intepretaion of street scene :)

love the isolated woman with back to camera and slumped shoulders lost in the crowd. the thing that i noticed immediately was the window display of animals. i relate crowded city scenes to the herding instinct so the display is quite appropriate to me. excellent work Pascale!! VOTE

I've alwasy found street photography to be interesting - well done; you should post more tho. THis one rocks for what you've done in post, but also the background choice of sheep and cows in a line - pretty pointed but so true.

Now there is a colorful person, runs her life by her rules not others who fit the "mold", fine capture:):):):)

I have decided to take a little vacation from RR, but I can't resist commenting this wonderful photo of yours. Love the way you make me focus the woman, you make me take in every detail of her, while the others is an anonymous background. And I think of how we do the same when we meet somebody that attracts our attention of any kind. We sort them out and see just them.

i LOVE this, Pascale! i notice right away her slumping. she's older, probably in pain, tired, perhaps ill, and maybe lonely. her hands are swollen. she's carrying a lot...hope she hasn't had to carry all that by herself for a long distance. i notice the man to her left too. I find this scene fascinating and wonder about those animals at the top of the image. i wonder what kind of place this is. Mostly i think about my own age. I have arthritis all over my whole body. the past 3 weeks i've been in so much pain. don't talk about it much. i'm 42 but my body is wearing out fast. sigh. i think about how i still have 23 more years of "work" left before i am eligible for retirement benefits. If i live that long, i can't even imagine what i'll feel like at that age. Anyway, i can't think like this. gotta take it one day at a time and not think into the future. but when i see this image, i think of how growing older is not so easy. People we love start dying, our bodies start falling apart, and life can seem pretty overwhelming. and yeah...sometimes no one seems to notice you even exist. I LOVE older people...always have. i usually talk to them in grocery stores, drs. offices...wherever i go. smile at them a lot. listen. i don't have kids. i just hope and pray i'll have kemal with me by my side until the day i die. hope i won't be alone like this woman appears to be. sorry for rambling. can't help myself. your image makes me think of so many things. i truly hope you'll upload the rest in your series 'cause i just love candid shots of people!!! this one is fabulous, girl, and the selective coloring is perfect to isolate her. i'm sure she must feel pretty isolated in the world. sigh.

Perfect selective colouring, not only in a technical way, but in reference to the content or 'message' here! I think what gwfa mentioned above is true,- don't know why, but it creates some kind of slow motion feeling. Well chosen title, btw.

MMM Nice, i like the way you have made the most of her homey person, the centre focus by use of beutiful colors, really gives her impact as the main figure in this image, there are many other interstin details in the backgnd, but the eye is pulled to her. Fine foto Pascale, full of human interest, Eccellent. V* Lina

Sometimes selective colouring is just a cheap effect - most times i'd say - but in this case, it works just fine. Great work - i'd like to see more of Londons people. It's a way of shooting i'd never dare to do - and it's quite unusual at r'osity too .. that, combined with your talent .. promising ;-)
