Description
The town of Sintra, Portugal has some great ruins and vistas and is one of my favorite places to stay in that great country.
This started with a cloud photo which was recolored and partly painted and the rest was painted with Photoshop CS2.

Great work Ken! From a technical point view, what you've done here is brilliant. The difference between sunlight and shadow is perhaps a bit too big in distance to be totally realistic, but the realism of the work you've done on the cliff to the left is almost scary! Those plants and trees look totally believeable. I wonder which brush you've used to achieve the highlights? :) From an artistic point of view, I'd say that the composition is a bit off balance. The center of interest is to the far left, and the sky takes up too much space without anything to brake it up. On the other hand, I really like the mood and colourpallette. Which method do you use to achieve colour harmony? It sure works :) Those were just my two cents - Thomas

Breathtaking, Ken! I love the antiquarian feel of this image, with the tunic like clothing of our hero at the top of the stairs and his faithful hawk friend :-) Very imaginative piece and so realistic, as usual. Bravo, vote!
