Description


This critter sat still (well, as still as the wind would let it) and let me get thisclose. If I knew what the species was offhand I would have posted the name.

Camera: Pentax Optio 33LF Picture taken using macro mode.



Update: did some research and figured out what it was. This one was spotted in northeastern Illinois area.

Yes, the rare Northern Illinois Dalmation Butterfly. You should have caught it. If you can collect 1650 of them, you can make a coat.
