In my youth, before the county commisson decided they could make better use of the land...
A large traveling carnivale set up for a week each autumn in a large field about a half mile from where I grew up...
An exciting and wondorous place... that also seemed to have a darker edge, to me at least...
and I feel this image conveys that feeling a bit.

You have captured the allure of a carnivale, as well as how enticing it is as my eye is drawn in to the magic of the center. I share the sense of "darker edge", but your image underplays that as it is overtaken by the wonderful jewel like colors and designs. I can hear the sounds and sense the smells that flow through the air of a carnivale. Excellent art Hew. V
