BIO
I'm an elderly Englishwoman with a Bachelor's Degree in English Lit/Linguistics and a lifelong interest in art, especially computer-generated graphics.
In addition to my artistic efforts, I sing (anything from blues to opera) and, depending on what I'm singing, I perform in all sorts of venues from nursing homes to cathedrals. Besides Renderosity, I belong to a couple of photography groups on Facebook and also have my own Facebook page.
I'm now happily retired and have plenty of time to indulge my hobby of photography.

How to get a completely black sky? Render land only (uncheck the "sky" box). Maybe needs a few more terrain surfaces - even if they are grey.

Ah, thanks, I'll remember that tip next time and save myself a LOT of hassle :-). I'm still a relative newcomer to Terragen and haven't got to grips with all its quirks yet. I'll try the surface idea and see how I get on. I might replace this picture if I prefer the improved version. Thanks again, and thanks to everyone for all the tips you're giving me - I find them very helpful :-).

Lovely POV, and that crater is superb... agrees with rich perhaps some more surfacing adding children. Would give it lovely tones.... you might want to look into a program called Universe. You can add the sky to the picture from there... :) Would be super with some stars.. those spaceships are a perfect touch...

Thanks :-). I'm still experimenting with surfaces. I still can't work out the difference between children and siblings and how to control them, so I've had some very weird effects in a few of my pictures. I'll keep on though and one day it just might click :-).
