Vue5I and PSP - I'm still tweaking my Vue Skin Shader. This one uses entirely procedural skin with a custom specular map I created. I added the makeup and some small skin wrinkles in PSP and of course tweaked the hair. I rendered this using fast radiosity and a low definition HDRI map with a single light added for the speculars. The original 1500 x 2000 image rendered in 27 minutes (about 5 times faster compared to using texture maps). The tradeoff of course is that you have to do some minor postwork, but I think 20 minutes of postwork beats several more hours of render time.

I must be doing something wrong as my Vue renders can take up to 6 days and my computer is fairly decent! You certainly got the title right for this image, she is definitely smoking! The shader and skin material is outstanding!! Great perspective and pose, her expression is perfect and WOW on the hair and her sexy outfit!! Top this off with the wonderous setting of the beach and we have one awesome image!! Superb work!!

oh wow!! That skin shader is fantastic and you've done a great job on the post. How did you get it in only 27 minutes?? Even my little renders with the 5i demo take a couple of hours with radiosity.

Her body skin is super. Her face skin has a slightly airbrushed look to it. On the specular, an analysis in Photoshop reveils that the blue is too high for the amount of green. Even in the brightest specular areas of skin, there should still be a fraction more green than blue. The result on the render above is that the specular has a voilet tint to it.
