Description

Another view of Deep Space Explorer Leviathan. 3D CGI model created in TrueSpace 6.6 with some post-processing done in Abobe Photoshop 7. In response to some comments below about the look of the hyperspace tunnel, I wanted to show that the tunnel a definitely a man-made effect rather than a naturally occuring phenomenon that has been harnassed for FTL travel. The tunnel is also supposed to make reference to the star gate in the SF movie 2001: A Space Odyssey that looked artificially created as well.

First class thumb, made me look immidiatly, the pic is cool too, the Hyperspace tunnel should have a more "energetic" effect .. it is too structured, some more randomness and a uniformer color would help a lot.(Who knows what a Hyperspace tunnel looks like lol, its just expections formed by movies i have)

I agree with Django. However, put a floor on that tunnel & scale it to human size and it would be a terrific SCI-Fi corridor. Sci-Fi movies etc depicts a tunnel but the equations indicate it may be an interface or doorway. if it exists at all. My highest complimenmts on your concept, light and presentation - as always. Thanks for sharing. D

Ahh after watching 4 seasons of B5 on DVD this is a great pic. I like the ship better in this pic than the last one the back of the ship looks very cool. Great pic.
