I had a beautiful comment on this picture for Gunsan but something went wrong while submitting it. Anyway, Gunsan has given us a hint of recognition to wonder about.

Oh Gun, I love the direct simplicity and restraint of this. This is one of those intangible things that would be hard to put into words, but you've done it so successfully in image. Well done here :-)

Totally perfect title for this work. I really relate to this simple evocative style. Bravo.

I feel it is reflective of your present state of mind and body. The high key lighting effect revealing only necessary information about the face and that it is nothing more than a shell of itself. Behind this mask is a person not ready to reveal herself to the outside. The wild and free brush strokes like the wind itself, are blowing away any reminders of the past. When nature has finished, she will step into the light of the suns warm golden rays, revealing herself to us.

Technically, Gun, this is a truly successful work. Your color tones are so well concieved and applied. The abstraction of the characteristics are superb. Enough is not alway expressed by all the details. Now, the subjective! I see the woman coming to recognize the work of transformation occuring in her. The "hint" can be inspiring to go with the flow and cooperate with what is going on. Sometimes we can comply and patiently wait for the process to reach completion, and at other times we try to anticipate what is a mystery within the transformation itself, resulting in struggle. This is a totally beautiful work of art. ;)

Not really hiding..Only a hint that she is there, but that is all we get unless we are patient. :0)

Yes, a hint exists within this inscrutable image. Recognition involves knowing physical features as well as knowing the inner intrigue of being. I'll think about this image for a bit more -- I'm sure I'm missing some key point. Excellent work.
