Description
Okay this is the longest render I have ever seen. Not all is the fault of my dinosaur of a machine, a lot was due to lighting induced power failures in our are, tripped circuit breakers, and a cat that is dumb enough to think a power strip plug is a mouse. All in all over 2.5 weeks to get this image rendered.
As you can probably see, I have been experimenting with different pseudo metallic effects and chrome like materials. I think the final image was worth it. Here we see three Raptor class starfighters heading out on patrol from their Sparrowhawk class mothership, in Earth orbit. Let me know what you think, Im pretty happy with this one but I see a few changes I need to make to the sparrowhawk and the raptor. Comments always welcome.
Modeled and skinned in C4, Starfield done in PSP 4, Rendered in C4, no postwork. (I had wanted to do a lens flare in C4 on the sun, however the dreaded "An unknown error has occured" box came up).
