Description

"As I grow to understand life less and less, I learn to live it more and more." --Jules Renard, writer (1864-1910)

I don't have too much to say about today's photo. It is actually 2 photos I combined in Photoshop. (I'm sure you guessed that) By themselves, they were nice but need something more. When I saw how the spider web almost exactly matched the curve of the shell, and how well the lighting fit, well..., I had to give it a try. I don't know how well it works compositionally, but I like it dangit! ;-] I can't believe I missed it! Little did I know that Exploring The Vine was my 400th gallery upload! I guess in the scheme of things it isn't a big deal, but I usually like to commemorate these little milestones. I was browsing through kimariehere's gallery and I noticed that she recently had uploaded her 100th image. (congrats!) That got me wondering what my count was. So I did a count of my gallery images and realized I had passed the 400 mark at the start of the week. I was aware of my count when I neared my 300th and commemorated it with the image Monolith. I suppose I'll try to do something when I hit 500. :) Does it really mean anything? No...just that I've been at this way too long. Quantity doesn't necessarily equate to quality. But it is something in that I've received so many great comments over the years that I cherish them all. I don't know what I'd do if my gallery was deleted for whatever reason and don't know how some artists can do it intentionally. These images I post have helped to form friendships that I wouldn't trade for the world. In that, I guess they are very special indeed. At least to me. 8'] Thanks for stopping by, and for your entertaining comments on yesterday's image, VW Transporter.

I actually thought it was together as snails tend to get in some strange places and a spider will build where ever they please. excellent post work
