This is my submission for Elemental 2. So far it's 40+ hours work. Over 1000 objects, some you can't even see because they're hidden behind posts. 3 million plus faces. 20+ lights. All textures created by me. 3 hours app render time with the default Max scanline renderer with exposure control turned on and advanced lighting. I haven't turned on radiosity yet since that'll add some more render time and I don't want to mess with it until I'm finished tweaking it. I didn't use mental ray because it didn't read my volume light correctly and didn't support some of the textures I created. It's the best and most complex work I've ever done. My computer is gasping for breat when I work on it, so I really can't take it much further, but I'd like to hear what people think before I finish tweaking it and render the large format Tiff. I'm particularly fond of the bird in the rafters, and the way my bounce lights worked. I was trying to create a scene that would reflect genuine spirituality, a sense of sacredness.
