Description
This is an experiment in getting surface maps to cover the parts of an image I want them to cover and not the bits they want to cover.

I think this one's good. You might want to reduce the gamma setting in the render options for more dramatic lighting, but it's a nice looking terrain & your surface distribution is good. A successfull experiment. :)

Thanks Catmando and Fractalinda :-). Like my experiments with POV-Ray, it helps sometimes that I don't really know what I'm doing because, rather than going straight for some effect and concentrating just on that (which I must admit I'd like to be able to do at times), I have to fiddle around till I suddenly get a surprise (like this).
