Description

This is a gift to my parents for their 40th Anniversary. I know I'll probably get comments that this isn't realistic & such, but there is a story to explain the way I created this..... My mother loves elephants. She collects all kinds - glass, photos, stuffed, metal, etc. About 30 plus years ago, my father had a painting commissioned for his anniversary gift to my mother. It was done on a big gray rock. The rock was painted green, with two elephants painted (to represent himself & my mother). Then three little kids were painted playing with the elephants (to represent my brother, my sister & myself). That rock has always been prominently displayed in their house. This is my take on that painting, showing my parents by themselves with the rock between them - still together & in love after 40 years..... [Edit] The image was edited to incorporate an actual photo of my parents rock.
