Gee... That handposing is terrible. Sorry, but holding her rifle like that she looks completely stupid. Take a look on some pictures of people holding weapons and work on that hand pose. While your at it get rid of that strange shiny metal texture on the carry handle.

Well the hand pose really IS bad. Like that nobody would hold a weapon. Nobody would anything like that. Even anatomically this is wrong and one of her fingers even goes right through the trigger guard while two of her left hands fingers go through the handguard or are at least crumbled beneath it. She couldnt fire the rifle that way an neither could she use it as a club. Its just bad posed. Also are her eyes completely unfocussed. She doesnt seem to look at something. She looks somehow drugged and I dont think the light is right. How does it come that the background is completely dark while the character is perfectly lit? I dont think this is a good image but that does not make things personal, right? This is just as much constructive criticism as yours and voids since nobody can do better when noones telling whats wrong. And criticising lack of realism has nothing to do with lack of imagination. If something does not look convincing then it is a subjective problem. Tell people to shut theyr mouth as long as they dont have something nice to say is not only pretty arrogant, but also quite narrow minded. Both is something nobody needs to get useful feedback, which again is why everybodys posting here, isnt it?

Y'know, I really don't think it is a very good pic too but I don't think the criticism is necessary. Just ignore it. There are too many mediocre pics around to prank them all and it is nicer to say nothing than to say something bad. Be nice to each other, folks. ^_^

Y'know,I really don't see a reason for the harsh criticism here as rosity is a place to learn and grow as well as to showcase your talents. You did a great job m'lady and although there might be room for a few improvements, you need someone who knows what they're doing to provide constructive criticism if they're really any good or have any real talent to share. The handle is chrome plate which is used a lot in sci fi weapondry if you'll notice and since its obvious this wasn't mean't to be a reflection of reality...I think it fits the scene better than something commonplace like what you might see from someone who lacks flare or imagination.I think that maybe the lighting on the girl might use a little toning down but the hand poses...its a relaxed scene and unless its a staged scene very few soldiers pose with their fingers on the trigger ready to fire unless its a combat situation.A fair evaluation...it looks great, not really excellent because I did critique the lighting but there's a right way and a wrong way to say something like that:)

Phew... So many long comments. :o Okay, Ill join in. I agree with the hand pose issue. It just seems wrong. First of all is that G36 a bit oversized. Its not really that big and she holds it like its some kind of plastic toy. Thumb on the wrong side of the grip, left hand without any firmness, weapon unbraced and her right pinky finger looks like it is broken. Her eyes are really unfocused and the levels in the picture need work. Pitchblack in the background and bright shiny stuff in the fg. Needs adjustment. Perhaps that can be done in photoshop. However, I don't think that any of the criticism is meant to hurt. In fact all of it seems helpfull to me. Interesting work so far. Needs some work, but I'm sure it can be improved with little effort. :)

First off guys this is just a girls with guns pic and if you ever seen any of those (and I know some of you pervs have) then you know they never hold the guns right because they're not trying to shoot the damn gun.Second I was using that crappy DAZ Studio renderer because I lost Poser in a crash and can't get it back, was all I could do to get it this good with that garbage software. You jerks take things way too seriously and I only see one of you other than Armor and Ex Cal who've even posted anything so what the hell do you know~nothing, you know nothing about the software about art or simply posting pics for friends so shut up if you have nothing nice to say.Only thing stupid and terrible here are your comments. Thanks Armor and Ex Cal

no bad Goddess.. . Ok.. my turn.. lol.. the only I would have to say is the lighting. The hands could use a little work aswell, but since this is a chick in a posed looking pic.. It does work.. My real freaking problem is the people who just slam artwork.. AND WHERE IS YOUR GALLERY.. LETS SEE YOUR STUFF people..
