Description

I've redone this three times, in the past couple of years, everytime, having learned more about modeling. I thought I would have to make a transparency map for the filagree work in the soundhole, but figured out how to get a pretty fancy design by replicating/mirroring three squiggly lines into a round pattern. The striped back was done on the texture map, in Photoshop, using Tony Lynch Wood mats, as are all the wood pieces.

Very nice, especially the soundhole. However: the grain on the back should follow the strips of wood, the light and dark bands do look painted on. I'm not sure about the head, but there is a lot of variation in their designs, so this could be one I haven't seen yet.
