Jesus, that's remarkable. Is this meant to be stereoscopic? The reason I ask is that the babies are identical, although there are superficial differences in the limbs and wires: if I cross my eyes and overlap them, there are discrepancies in depth. Have you considered going into "literal" 3D in this way?

Synapse is wrong. What he is seing is the effect of the differing background with the identical babies. The difference appears to shove itself backwards or forwards depending on the focus. It's a complicated stereoscopic variant of those cubes that can go either in or out depending on how you look at them.
