A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

Coucou Michel !

Whats it for? I suppose its just a piece of art...and it sure does qualify as that. Gorgeous capture of that cool structure. Have a great day #:O)

The word "columbarium" comes from the Latin word "columba," meaning "dovecote," a compartmentalized shelter for domestic pigeons. Rather than house living, breeding birds, a columbarium houses the ashes of the deceased in separate niches...

What an interesting structure, the two previous detail shots were great, see what you mean about the light in this thing. Well done. BTW, glad to see you listed the architect, not enought folk credit the work of the artist as you've done. Bravo.
