Been looking forward to this since the WIP! The title really helps I think. For some reason I get a suffocating feeling from this and I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it's just focusing on my own relaxed and shallow breathing. Whatever, at the usual risk of not quite doing it justice with a comment, I'll just acknowledge the beauty I see here but also the dichotomy of a veneer of serenity masking a suggested inner turmoil. That's my reaction anyway, I think I'll just hit "Submit" now! Thanks Bev as always HUGS

Thers'e either a very deep story here or just some very simple juxtaposition. However, a great image. Bravo.

I know I will be missing the whole point (Oh well) but I will concentrate on the art. This is so beautiful, I love the way you did her face, awesome! and the quality of the light is sublime! The little bursts of color are perfect, the blue spots on the moths wings almost seem like HER eyes! Very lovely APU! Vote

Beautiful and touching work of art. Excellent depiction of negaive space applied in a unique way. This is a masterful and thought provoking image. It draws me into examining how what I see is what I see within myself. Your color applications are exquisite with beautiful light and shadow. Your skills and talent keep inspiring me.

A little Renaissance-like, and I mean it as compliment. Now, regarding the rest, I don't dare utter any interpretation other than "amazingly beautiful".

This picture is really a bit a surprise! and was more than worth to wait for... :-) Definitely your incredible style butyet different. Extremely, may I say shocking, beautiful! I so love tose colours and tones. Classic and yet modern. And with the atmosphere where I could dive in, and stay there to experience it all; the whole world of a sensitive and intellectual struggle. Negative space needs something to deny; through it, even by breaking something, you'll find the possible synthesis - which at once begins to turn out into something else. The soul has always wings that can fly far away, no matter how beautiful the chains are. Trying to keep the beauty, and let the worse things leave behind might be only an illusion but what a wonderful illusion it is! It can be broken again and again but it will never ultimatle vanish. We treasure it forever and ever. --- A masterpiece again, Bev! Your artistic skills, and creativity, your ability to create always extreme beauty and deep stories, doesn't cease to surprise me. Every time. I'm moved. I wonder if you really lived already in the 15th century painting and drawing as a compagnon of Leonardo. :-) Thank you so much for sharing your art! It's such a joy to my eyes and soul! huge hugs :-)

well... lost... nina said a word here, i wanna pick up... lost on one side... the broken window... the butterfly as necklace - as a broken one... on the other side... her expression... she seems to dream... dream of what...?!? not sure... and what's the matter with this piece of cloth...?!? what about the fly... ?!? well mysterious... too much that "influences"... too much coming into the world... did the window protect....?!? where's the butterfly going to fly to... it looks as if it would... thanks bev... huges hugs i love this pic too...!!! thank you again...!

...this is BEAUTIFUL Bev! ----- the soft skin and the milky opaque jagged shards ( ribbon tied on one ? )-- that great butterfly splash of colour with the blue eyes -- the soft silhouette of the blackbird in the upper right --- and the fly on his back & slightly cut off --- but mostly the girl/woman's serene inward looking expression surrounded by hair I'd love to touch ----- !!!!! ----- I fell in love this one in about 15 seconds.
