nice work for a first a post...keepin' it simple which is good...the textures on the ear pieces are really nice... ...for the future tho...you may not want to render something so black on such a white background...it causes what's called "simultaneous contrast of value" and you lose a lot of the form of the black object b/c there's soooo much contrast...which causes it to look a little sihlouetty [yeah i think i'm making up words...or at least mispellin' 'em]...if you're ever in doubt about what color to make your back drop...go for a 50 percent gray...its nuetral and you can usually get away cleanly with it... ...nice work and welcome to the community...i'm sure you can learn a thing or two around here...

Nicely done and a warm welcome our community. :o) Anything you need to know, we are all here for you in our LightWave Forum. Judging by your render, I would say you are off to a good start, although Warlock279 makes some valid pointers.
